This term, we have been learning about life in Viking Britain. We have designed and sketched figureheads for a Viking longship. Traditionally, Vikings carved these fearsome designs to intimidate their enemies. We have also written diary entries in role as both Anglo-Saxons and Vikings to recount the events of the Viking raid on Lindisfarne.
We are looking forward to our Viking Day workshop next Friday 25th March, where we hope to experience what it was like to live in a 9th century village, completing activities including weaving, pottery, metal working and candle-making.
