Year 6 have had a busy week!
The children have worked hard throughout a host of English and Maths assessments this week, consolidating their learning and preparing them for SATs. We are all proud of their efforts and of showing our Core Value of determination.
On Wednesday, the year group represented the school beautifully at our Welcome Mass. They sat respectfully and attentively throughout the mass, and those who read and sang did so wonderfully.
Before lunch today, some children gave their presentation for the different leadership roles available. Ms Bowen, Ms Noonan and Mrs Rees were all very impressed with how confidently and articulately the children spoke. Afterwards, the children voted anonymously for their first and second choices; the votes are in the process of being counted. We wish all the potential candidates the best of luck!
To round off the week, the children practised developing their work on perspective. They drew the outline of their drawing in pencil, and used watercolours to create a colour palette to use to colour their painting in. It is a work in process, but we have seen some fantastic examples of blending of colours to produce desired shades.
We hope you all have a lovely, sunny weekend!
