Not only did today mark the return to French lessons for Year 4 and Year 6 but it was also International Literacy Day. We are lucky to have a number of French-English, and other foreign language, picture and word books in the library, and have also acquired a set of French-English dictionaries that we will be exploring in class.
One of my favourite reads is in the library. I’m sure many of you will remember reading it when you were younger: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, by Michael Rosen, otherwise known as La Chasse à l’Ours in French. Reading classic picture books in French is a great way to expand your vocabulary knowledge. Saying the words out loud is a great way to practise speaking in French too.
A bientôt!
