We warmly welcome applications from all families who support the Catholic ethos of our school, whether you are Catholic or not. Although a certificate of Catholic Practice is preferable, it is NOT essential to obtain a place in Nursery or Reception.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOOL PLACE
Applications for Reception are welcome from families whose child attains 4 years of age between 01/09/2024 and 31/08/2025 who wish their child to join the Reception class in September 2025
School applications will open on 1st November 2024 and close on 15th January 2025. You must apply online at: www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions.
In addition, to be considered as a practicing Catholic you will need to complete the Supplementary Information Form (SIF below). The Supplementary Information Form (SIF) should be returned to the school office with a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate and a Certificate of Catholic Practice, if these are applicable. We also require a proof of address (a utility or council tax bill or tenancy agreement dated within the last 3 months). These documents can be handed to the school office.
The Certificate of Catholic Practice is available from the church where you usually worship.

Appeals
In-Year Admissions Reception – Year 6
If more applications are received than there are places available, then applications will be ranked by the Local Authority in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. The Local Authority will write to you with the outcome of your application and, if you have been unsuccessful, you will be informed of your right to appeal when a place is not available www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/schoolappeals. You will be offered the opportunity of being placed on a continued interest list. This continued interest list will be maintained by the Local Authority in the order of the oversubscription criteria and not in the order in which the applications are received. Names will be removed from the list at the end of each academic year.
