Year 4 have been very busy learning about electrical circuits, first aid and and finally finishing their 3D pieces of modroc artwork inspired by the artist Nicole Dyer. The children excitedly used wires, bulbs and batteries to construct a simple circuit in their science lessons this week and really enjoyed the noise of 20 plus buzzers all going off at once when they also added these to their circuitsl! Also, when we turned off the lights, all the bright lights of their circuit bulbs made the class look like a starry night! Later in the week, we finally managed to paint our modroc sculptures. The children’s creative designs for pizzas, cans of beans and even popcorn, among other food creations, were amazing and they proudly displayed their handiwork in the Year 4 lobby. At the end the week we played a fun game in Maths called ‘Regroupy’ which helped the children practise their adding with regrouping skills, using decimals and whole numbers.
