Our Pupil Chaplaincy Team helped Father John to lead our Harvest Festival Celebrations on the upper and lower sites. We thought about the work that farmers do and thanked God for the good things that He provides us with. The Pupil Chaplaincy Team re-enacted the parable of the Sower. Father John picked up on this theme in his homily, and helped us to think about how we can grow as people and also grow in our faith by showing our School values of faith, friendship, determination, respect and unity. In particular, he reminded us to be better friends by not letting arguments spoil our friendships.
We also thought about our Catholic Social Teaching principle of Community and Participation. Thank you to everyone who brought in food and tins to donate to our local St Albans Foodbank. It is important that we all play a part to support everyone in our local community, particularly when they are vulnerable and in need.
Finally, thank you to Father John for leading our Harvest Festival- his first ever!
