This week, Year 4 have shown us how talented they are in Art. Experimenting with various media such as charcoal, pencils and pastels, they each created a beautiful Toucan as their final piece. Lots of people have enjoyed viewing them as they walk past the classrooms. They have also been thinking like scientists and practising their collaborative working skills by carrying out an experiment with ‘icy hands’. The children showed great care and attention using the thermometers and taking accurate readings at intervals. We then had some fantastic discussions about particles and the scientific reasons behind melting and freezing. The children recorded their ideas sensibly and logically and we are very proud of their progress.
