This week has been filled with exciting activities and celebrations.
We started off revisiting the human body, drawing life size skeletons (and we even added some internal organs!). We were very impressed to see how much knowledge the children had retained from lockdown and how beautifully they worked in their groups.
On Wednesday was Green Day and it was HOT! We made ourselves refreshing fruit salads – where some of us discovered we enjoyed fruit! We spent some time cooling off; writing letters to Greenpeace (as inspired by the book we shared that day, “Letter to Greenpeace”); making tangrams; and doing mindfulness colouring. We then headed outside for some gardening. Watch out Monty Don, we have some very keen gardeners! We also created chalk pictures, enhanced with natural decorations.
We would like to give a big thank you to Mr Forgash and to all the parents for their generous donations of plants to our school gardens. Your plants look beautiful and have now been thoroughly watered!
Have a wonderful weekend!
