Our Y2 and Y5 children have been using the Glockenspiels in their music lessons this week.
The Y2 children have been learning how to read notes on a stave and have been enjoying learning 2 pieces – Easy E and Strictly D, which has a very Strictly Come Dancing vibe to it, so naturally, where there is a rest in the music they have been marking it with some very fancy dance poses!! Unfortunately they were so enthusiastic that most of the pictures were a blur!
Y5 were composing their own Fanfares using the C major triad. We listened to some examples of fanfares and then children had a go! They could choose other instruments as well as the Glockenspiels – some of the children bought in their own instruments too.
