This afternoon, all of Year 5 walked over to the lower site to join all our friends in Nursery and Reception. Our intention was to help out our younger friends by doing activities together, such as reading, crafts or even playing football. We were given a warm welcome and before we knew it, crowns were being crafted and readers were being listened to. We were blessed by glorious warm sunshine to play in which gave us all an appetite for our ice pops after our play. Before we left, we made sure to help out during “Tidy Up Time”. Lots of Year 5 children felt very nostalgic going back to their old playground and some even spotted some of the old toys they used to play with. I was extremely impressed at the gentleness and care our children showed towards their younger peers. A huge thank you to all our Early Years staff who made this happen, with such ease. Wishing you all at home a fabulous Coronation weekend!
