Today on January 6th, we celebrated Epiphany in a Mass with our Ss Alban & Stephen Church parish family. Fr Andrew told us that ‘Epiphany’ means ‘revealing’, as it is the occasion when the baby Jesus, the promised Messiah, was revealed to the three wise men. Our Pupil Chaplains led the readings and prayers in Church, and our School Choir sang ‘Searching, Searching’, a hymn which told of the long journey of the Magi to find the new king. The Mass was livestreamed to the whole school so that everyone could share in this special occasion.
Thank you to Fr Andrew and to all the pupils who played their part in the Mass so reverently- we are very proud of you.
Our hope at SSAS this year is that, like the wise men, we will open our hearts to discover Jesus as we journey together.
