On Wednesday 8th February, Year 3 were transported to Ancient Egypt!
They dressed up in their best Egyptian outfits in preparation for their day of learning all about the ancient Egyptians.
First up on their trip was ancient artefact making. They had a go at moulding their own clay Shabti dolls and Canopic jars, mummifying peg dolls, making bread and scribing hieroglyphs.
Following the creative session, the children took part in the afternoon of Egyptian dancing, music and theatre. They had a fantastic time entertaining the Pharaoh and learnt lots interesting facts about life in ancient Egypt.
Thank you to all the parents who helped the children enjoy the Ancient Egyptian Day!
