Today was an absolutely extraordinary day for Willow class! Bright and early, a filming crew arrived to transform our classroom into a hub of excitement. Cameras, lights, and a plethora of new toys captivated the children’s imaginations from the moment they walked in.
Our director, Steve, warmly welcomed the class and introduced the film crew. It was explained that the children would be stepping into various roles, from firefighters to nurses to pilots. The corner of the room was adorned with racks of costumes, sparking the children’s enthusiasm even further.
In small groups, the children eagerly took their turns in the spotlight, bravely speaking in front of the cameras and crew. We watched them wear beards and mustaches, and dive into imaginative play with the new toys.
Meanwhile, as some children took part in the filming, the rest of the class delved into activities centered around Chinese New Year. They learnt about the Year of the Dragon and crafting beautiful lanterns.
As if the day couldn’t get any more exciting, a special surprise awaited Willow class in the afternoon – a visit from a pilot with EasyJet! The children were thrilled to meet a real-life pilot and to hear from them in person.
Overall, it was a day bursting with excitement and learning. I’m certain that the children will be buzzing with stories to share about their incredible experiences!
