The children have had a wonderful time this week, learning about the true Easter story and creating Easter cards, arts and crafts and Easter chocolate nests!
We wish to thank all our families for their continued support with encouraging your child to learn and explore the topics covered this Spring Term. Your support is invaluable. We especially want to thank those parents who have volunteered to walk and support the children to visit the School Library. Our Library books are now located in the KS1 building, which will be more enjoyable and easier for us to access fiction and non-fiction books throughout the Summer term. A special thank you to the Parents who shared their time and resources to teach the children about different cultures and languages; also thank you to Simisola’s Dad for sharing his Scientific knowledge during Science Week.
We also want to thank all the support staff, particularly Mrs. Ramdani, Mrs. LoBue and Ms. Ruff who have supported the children with their learning in class, especially when the Teacher’s have been poorly. Also, we wish to thank the Lunchtime Supervisors who look after your children during lunchtimes, through rain, snow, wind and a little sunshine!
We wish all our children and their families a wonderful Easter holiday.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 18th April at 8.45am, refreshed and ready for the final term in Reception.
May God bless you all.
This week in Nursery we have been very busy finishing off all our amazing Easter craft. W have had a visit from Mr Stokes who talked to us about being an architect. It was very interesting and the children discovered how buildings are planned and build, thinking about the different rooms and what materials we might want to use.
In math this week we have been looking at patterns. The children then used the recourses in the room to demonstrate what they had learnt.
We were also very lucky to have a visit from Sophia on Friday, who did some wonderful planting with the children, in the damp outside area. We planted sunflowers and potatoes, which we will be able to harvest in July. The children really enjoyed this and were able to bring home their planted sunflowers, we hope to see some pictures of them as they begin to grow.
We were taken over by bunnies on Friday, after the children had made their masks. We sang ‘sleep little bunnies’ and the children hopped about and had lots of fun. I even found a bunny in the book corner.
We would like to wish all our Nursery families a very Happy Easter. We are looking forward to the Summer term!
