Double Double Toil and Trouble

Here in Year 5 we have truly embraced all things dark and sinister!  We have finished our English unit on Macbeth and today we made theatre sets in shoe boxes.  We have been planning this project for some time, having researched the work by Rae Smith on the “War Horse ” theatre production.  Then, we planned our own sets in our sketch books, annotating our sketches with notes on materials we would need and the look we wanted to achieve.
Finally, we raided every cupboard in the school (and some even brought items from home) to scavenge paper, cotton wool balls, lollysticks, glue, fabric, shiny ribbon and much more besides.  We worked in small team or pairs to complete the task.  Amazing achievement Year 5!
