This week, we have been listening to the Nativity story from Matthew’s Gospel. We retold the story in our own words by making lovely fold-up books retelling the story.
We made Christmas print stamps in our art and are printing some Christmas wrapping paper. We used Christmas symbols that represent the true meaning of Christmas. The Christmas tree and holly leaves are evergreen, showing that God’s love lasts forever.
The star reminds us of the star that the wise men followed, that led them to Jesus.
The candle shows that Jesus is the light of the world.
Finally, the present reminds us of Jesus; God’s greatest gift to all of us.
Today, we took part in the Key Stage 2 Christmas Carol service at St Alban and St Stephen Church. We were proud of the lovely singing and the way that the children behaved so sensibly during the service. Thank you to all the volunteers who accompanied us to the church.
