In science we have been investigating the properties of solids, liquids and gases as part of out topic on ‘states of matter’. In one of our investigations, we looked at the properties of various materials and discussed questions such as: can a solid be poured? and can one state of matter be changed into another?
In maths we finished off our topic on place value and rounding by playing the game ‘Wonky’. In the game children formed four digit numbers by rolling dice and placing a digit in either own or their opponents place value grid. The person with the highest value is the winner. The children enjoyed learning about place value through this game.
