Year 5 have been learning about Black History from Tudor times, by referring to historical artefacts. We learned about John Blanke, a trumpeter from Henry VIII’s royal court, from a painting; John Hawkins’ coat of arms and the Drake Jewel. We discussed how the views of the time compared to our views now.
We have also continued making our papier mache, ancient Greek styled vases, adding handles before we paint them. As you can see we had a lot of fun getting messy!
