Science – fermentation experiment
This week in science we conducted an experiment about fermentation. The children mixed yeast, with sugar and warm water and poured this solution into a plastic bottle and placed a balloon on top of the bottle. The children were excited to observe what happened next. As the yeast reacted with the sugar and warm water, fermentation took place and carbon dioxide was produced. This was caught in the balloon which caused it to inflate.
Scooterbility
This week it was 2T’s turn to do the ‘Scooterbility’ activity. Luckily it was good weather and the children had a fantastic time learning about how to ride their scooters safely and responsibly.
An Owner’s Guide for Monsters
This week year 2 have been completing their explanation manual about a monster of their choice. They have now published their own leaflets ready for display. They have done an amazing job.
