This week, Year 4 have been learning how to write biographies in English. We have learnt about Mary Anning, a famous palaeontologist and written a biography about her.
We have also read a book about the short life of a mayfly and we are using this as our inspiration for our next biography.
We were so enthralled by the pictures in the book that we decided to use this literacy source to inspire our own art work.
In science we have been looking at the dangers that electricity can pose in the home. The children made their own warning posters.
We have also learnt about the Indian artist, Sayed Haider Raza as we are studying Asia in our Geography topic. The children have produced pieces of art based upon his work. He used circles to symbolise life, and also different geometric patterns.
