On Friday, our Pupil Chaplaincy team led a reverent Remembrance Assembly for Key Stage 1. Our readings, prayer and a recitation of the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ helped us all to understand why it is important to remember and pray for all those who have died and those who are still suffering because of war. Father Michael told us a moving story that showed us the value of remembering and how those we have lost are always with us through God’s love. Key Stage 2 took part in a virtual Remembrance Day assembly led by the British Legion, while across the school, children created artwork around the theme of poppies.
