The week before Christmas was full of excitement and joy at our nursery. From Christmas Jumper Day to a delicious Christmas lunch and fun crafts, our little ones embraced the festive spirit in the most heart-warming ways.
Christmas Crafting: Creative Fun
We kicked off the festivities with the children having a blast making Christmas crafts. From crown making for our Christmas feast to paper snowflakes, each little creation was a work of art. It was a great way to talk about the Christmas story and the joy of giving. The children proudly showed off their crafts, which would later be sent home to families.
Christmas Jumper Day: A Colourful Celebration
Mid-week with Christmas Jumper Day. The nursery was filled with bright and cheerful jumpers—Santa, reindeer, and twinkling lights everywhere! The children loved showing off their festive outfits, and we even raised money for charity, remembering the true spirit of giving.
Christmas Lunch: A Festive Feast
The children enjoyed a special Christmas lunch. The room was decorated with holiday cheer, and the children savoured some festive treats in their packed lunches. We said a prayer, reminding us to be thankful for the season’s gifts, and everyone enjoyed the meal as a special time together.
Celebrating the True Meaning of Christmas
While the week was full of fun activities, we also reminded the children that Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus. We shared stories of His birth and focused on the values of love, kindness, and gratitude.
As we wrapped up the week, the children left with big smiles, excited for Christmas and all the joy it brings.
Merry Christmas to all our families, and we wish you peace, love, and happiness this holiday season!
