We have just come to the end of a fantastic half term in Reception, where we have been delving ‘Into The Woods’ to learn all about fairytales, traditional tales and minibeasts.
This week, the children have been writing factual sentences all about minibeasts. Its amazing how much they know. The children are becoming experts at using grapheme mats and tricky word mats to help them with their spelling.
Some children have loved learning about minibeasts so much that they have created their own books. They have folded paper and used a stapler to create their own non-fiction book about minibeasts.
In RE, we have started our new topic ‘Reconciliation’. This topic is teaching us how to live by God’s rule of peace and unity, by being the best friends we can and to always forgive and show love to one another. We have been thinking about our own friends and have been getting crafty to show our own signs of friendship.
