Year 2 were excited to be back at school after the Christmas break. We learnt about how the New Year is a chance to make a new start and we all wrote our own ‘New Year’s Resolutions’. We displayed our promises for the Year 2022 as leaves on a tree.
We learnt about ‘The Epiphany’ in RE, when the Wise Men visited Jesus. We thought about the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh and why these were important. The children made Nativity booklets and wrote about the visitors who came to see Jesus.
In Maths we have been learning to tell the time and made our own clocks, with moving hands. We learnt about o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to times.
