The first week in Year 6 flew by like a whirlwind! The children have settled back wonderfully and throughout the week, in their RE and PSHE lessons, their discussions proved what we staff always knew: they will be wonderful leaders of our school. We have been busy electing School Council members, as well as leaders for many other elements of school life. Our fantastic Chaplaincy Team and Prayer Leaders will continue in their current positions and we look forward to seeing them shine in our school events.
The work has started straight away and we have started looking at our Geography topic on coasts – which you can see in the pictures. In PE, we are playing netball with the class teachers and football with Mr. Wallace. We have also made an exciting start on our class book, “Cogheart”, learning all about how to build tension and what a “MacGuffin” is. Ask your child – see if they remember!
All in all, it is wonderful to be back together again and we are very much looking forward to celebrating their achievements this year.
