This week in Year 4, we have been reading a story called ‘The Kapok Tree’. The story is all about the importance of the Amazon Rainforest. 4T have been using watercolour paints to paint pictures of the rainforest. We mixed colours and created different tones. 4M have been preparing resources to ‘draw with scissors’ in the style of Henri Matisse and they are looking forward to creating their rainforest artwork next week.
We started a new topic in RE called ‘Building Bridges’. We read the story of ‘The Lost Sheep’ and thought about how important it is to say ‘sorry’ when we have turned away from God. God always forgives us when we are sorry. Each child wrote about a time when they have been like a lost sheep and how they turned back to God.
