In Blossoms and Seedlings we have been singing about Aiken Drum. He was made of all sorts of different types of food – his head was a watermelon, his hair was made of spaghetti and his belly was made of pizza!
In reception, we felt that he needed some arms, legs, shoes and definitely a hat! So the children came up with ideas for other verses for the song. It was lots of fun!
This is Blossom’s version:
His hat was made of carrot cake, his arms were made of lollipops, his legs were made of cucumbers, his shoes were made of tomatoes and his belt was made of sausages!!!
And here is Seedlings:
He has a rather spectacular jelly hat, arms made of chicken drumsticks, legs made of chocolate and shoes made of popcorn!
Each class then sang their version of the song! Well done Reception. Wonderful work!
